When we are looking at abstract patterns, our perception able to see a “resemblance to various different landscapes adorned with mountains, rivers, rocks, trees, plains ... And an infinite number of things which you can then reduce into separated and well-conceived forms."
Pareidolia is an experimental short film use analog abstract patterns on 16mm film as source images to search similar figurative images interpreted by an online search engine. 600 similar online images were inter-edited into the abstract film clips. It results in an exciting visual and psychological experience, the poetic relationship between the abstract patterns and the similar figurative images create a vivid imaginary cinematic experience.
